The Australian Wine Dinner

Tonight begins another Season of monthly Wine Dinners at Tropics Cafe. This is our first one since we took "Holiday" as the locals call it.

Tonight's menu and wine pairings are a taste of Australia with the menu as follows:

Reception: Paperback Smoked Oysters with a Rainforest Lime Confit and served with a Lindemans Bin 75 Reisling

First Course: Shrimp "on the Barbie" with a Bush Tomato Chutney and served with a Penfolds Rawsons Retreat Chardonnay

Second Course: Grilled Salmon with a Macadamia Nut Sauce and toasted crushed Macadamia Nuts and served with a Rosemount Estate Pinot Noir

Main Course: Kangaroo Filet with Mountain Pepper Barbecue Sauce with Yakajirri Rosti and served with a Greg Norman Estates Shiraz

Dessert: Wattleseed Mousse with White Chocolate Shavings and topped with Riberry or "Lilly Pilly" and served with a Yalumba "Museum Reserve" Muscat

Hopefully it won't be too HOT this evening so I don't sweat when I HOP, HOP, HOP to the tables to serve the entree!!

Happy Thursday from "down under" Saba.......
