Whoever told me that you could overhaul a 10,000 square foot property in just a couple of months was "doable" needs a swift kick you know where!
This week we have been receiving hundreds of small, medium, large and SUPER large boxes of stuff.
Just today we had 3 oversized truck loads of packing garbage sent to the dump.
We even opted "out" on the previous owners selection of potted plants. This was their idea of what a 5 star propety was supposed to look like. Cheap plastic pots that were weather beaten and broken with poor pathetic, leggy and choked out plants. May they rest in peace.....
Here we've unpacked the new Queen size headboards that arrived. Now they "only" need to be carried up the cliffside to the rooms.
I put together the first of the King Size beds yesterday afternoon. One down, 5 to go on these hefty guys. The beds are nice looking Sleigh style beds finished in dark Mahagony. Each one will be complete with 6 down filled pillows, European square throw pillows and a bunch of other bed ornamentation that usually ends up on the floor each night when someone goes beddy bye.
My only salvation (aside from a full bottle of vodka) are these awesome sunsets we've been treated to most everyday this week.
Last night's was so nice that we even got to see The Green Flash as it dipped into the ocean.
